Bucket List for Summer
Sultry
days with golden rays,
With ice-creams, juices on the trays,
Shore
sands and pebbles with cooling breeze
High up in the mountain where waters freeze
A
morning walk or a jog with furry friend Cae-Sukimy pet dog,
Escape to a distant place veiled by a blanket
of fog,
Emptying
cups and cups of garam chai,
Or
bowls of maggi or wai-wai,
A
plunge in the inviting aquapool,
When the thermometer reads your body’s
temperature as ‘extra cool’
A
meandering trek in the wood,
Satiating your tongue with gourmet food,
The
simple pleasure of reading a sea of books
To tasting all the dishes of what Ma cooks.
When the
alarm doesn’t go ‘tring-tring
And you can snooze and land up in a dream’s
wing.
When
under the shade of trees
You surrender to the sky painted by the
birds and the bees.
To be
kissed by the debouching pearls of a water-fall,
Pack your bags for Summer’s call,
